What accounts are included in my retirement goal?
We automatically create your retirement plan using data from both Wealthfront and external accounts you have linked. Path, our advice engine, uses your linked accounts to estimate and project the value of your net-worth.
Path uses contributions from the following account types to make estimates around planned savings: 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), Thrift Savings Plan, 457(b), Traditional IRA, SIMPLE IRA, Other Non-Taxable Brokerage Accounts, SEP IRA, Depository Accounts, Checking Accounts, Savings Accounts, Roth 401(k), Roth IRA, Joint Taxable Accounts, Personal Taxable Accounts, Joint Brokerage Accounts, Individual Taxable Accounts, Taxable Brokerage Accounts, HSA, 529 accounts, Coverdell ESA’s and Cryptocurrency accounts.
Path projects retirement income automatically from tax-advantaged plans intended for retirement such as 401(k) and IRA plans and excludes accounts that are explicitly not for retirement, such as 529 accounts, Coverdell ESAs and Real Estate.
Path includes information from your linked credit card accounts, auto loan accounts and student loan accounts in its net worth projections in addition to manually linked mortgages associated with your linked real estate.
For more details on our methodology, please log into your account and review the Path disclosures.
