Why can't I transfer funds while my Portfolio Line of Credit request is processing?

In order to access your Portfolio Line of Credit, your account needs to be migrated to our new brokerage platform.

Once you are on our new platform, here are some improvements you’ll notice right away:

  • Faster account funding (funds move in as little as one day)
  • New products like Portfolio Line of Credit (borrow cash at a low rate using your investments as collateral)
  • Improved account statements

To migrate your accounts, we use the ACATs process, which typically takes 5-7 business days. After that, it takes up to an additional 4 business days to finalize the cost-basis of the migrated assets.

During this migration process, we will not trade in your investment account, and we will pause all deposits.
