How can I transfer part of my brokerage account at another institution?

You can complete a partial transfer from your account at another institution though the industry-standard ACATS process that allows us to request your funds electronically.

  1. Log in to your account and click “Transfer or Rollover.”
  2. Log into your other institution's account through the Wealthfront site.
  3. We review the current positions in your external account and allow you to select the securities you want to transfer.  Everything else is left in your account at the other firm (you can always transfer the rest later). Please make sure that the funds you leave with your current firm meet any required account minimums.
