You can’t transfer a Fidelity account to Wealthfront while it’s enrolled in Fidelity’s Managed Account Service.
If your account is enrolled in that service, follow these steps before submitting your transfer:
- Verify that your account was once a Fidelity Managed Account by looking at your nine-digit account number – Fidelity Managed Account numbers start with a Y.
- If you haven’t previously removed this service from your account, or if you are unsure, contact Fidelity at 800-544-3455 and ask them to remove the service from your account.
Once Fidelity removes this restriction, log in to Wealthfront and click Transfer or Rollover on your dashboard.
