Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication is a security feature that helps protect your account by requiring two methods of verification when you log in:
- Your email address and password.
- A security code that’s texted to your mobile phone number, or generated by a mobile authenticator app (like Google authenticator or Duo).
How to enable two-factor authentication
Enable two-factor authentication.
- Log in to Wealthfront. Go to your profile and select Settings.
- Select Two-factor Verification, then select Enable two-factor verification:
- Follow the remaining prompts to verify your two-factor authentication method.
Is two-factor authentication required for my account?
Yes. To help keep your account secure, two-factor authentication is required for all clients.
Do I have to use a two-factor authentication code every time I log in?
No. If you’re using a trusted device, you won’t be prompted to enter a two-factor authentication code. To avoid this prompt, check the box for Remember this device before you log in:
