Transfers between Wealthfront Accounts

Transfers between Wealthfront Accounts

To transfer funds between eligible Wealthfront accounts, log in to our website or app and navigate to Transfer money and select Transfer.

Supported:

  • Transfers between Cash Accounts and taxable Automated Investing or Stock Investing Accounts*
  • Contributions from Cash Accounts to IRAs (Traditional, Roth, SEP)
  • Transfers between Cash Accounts*
  • Transfers between Trust Cash Accounts and Automated Trust Investing Accounts where the Trusts’ TIN are the same
  • Transfers to a Wealthfront 529 Account from a Cash Account

*Trust Accounts are eligible for transfers if the TIN of the Trust Account matches the SSN of the primary trustee.

Not yet supported:

  • Transfers between Investing Accounts
  • Transfers from a Wealthfront 529 Account
  • Withdrawals from an IRA to a Cash Account or Investing Account
  • Portfolio Line of Credit to a Cash Account

The Cash Account is offered by Wealthfront Brokerage LLC (“Wealthfront Brokerage”), a Member of FINRA/SIPC. Neither Wealthfront Brokerage nor any Wealthfront entity is a bank and the Cash Account itself is not a deposit account.
