Report and replace a lost, stolen, or damaged debit card

Note: This support article only applies to Individual and Joint Cash Accounts with checking features

What to do

To report and replace a debit card that is lost, damaged, or stolen, please take these steps: 

  1. Log in and navigate to your Individual or Joint Cash Account
  2. Select Manage
  3. Select Debit card settings
  4. Select Replace card

We’ll cancel your lost or stolen debit card, then mail a replacement card to your residential address on file. The card should reach you in 7–10 business days.

Once your new card arrives, activate it on our website or our app for iOS or Android.

Will my new debit card have different card details?

Yes, your new card will have different card details. Be sure to update any payment apps or bills linked to your old debit card.

As a side note, replacing your debit card doesn’t affect your routing and account numbers — those details will remain the same.

Is there a fee for replacing my debit card?

No, there’s no fee or cost for card replacements.

Can I lock my card if I believe I temporarily misplaced it?

Yes, you can lock your debit card temporarily until you locate it.

How do I report fraud?

To report fraud, call the Green Dot Banking Support Team at (833) 466-1236. They're available 5am - 8pm PST, 7 days a week.
