Can my spouse and I jointly own a 529 account?

No. Accounts in the Wealthfront 529 College Savings Plan can only have one owner. However, two people may fund a 529 account for the same beneficiary. For example, you can fund an account for your child as the beneficiary and your spouse can fund a separate 529 account for the same child. Under the current annual gift tax exemption, you can each contribute up to $14,000 per beneficiary to these accounts.
